We are here to assist you with the breeding process, utilizing the latest technology to give you the best chance we can to optimize pregnancy. We have a proven track record of success but we also pride ourselves in giving you and your breeding program “Peace of Mind” service from the very first visit.

Please note that the following is a list of requirements specific to Broadview Reproductive Services that will aid us in assisting you with your exciting breeding plans and scheduled services.

Requirements:

  • Breeding soundness exam (BSE) with one of our reproduction veterinarians to screen for health issues before breeding and to develop a breeding plan.

  • Complete medical records are required for clients not using Broadview Animal Hospital of Dover, Milton, or Rochester to schedule appointments.

  • Bitch and stud must be up to date on rabies vaccination and a copy of the rabies certificate must be submitted to Broadview Reproductive Services (receipts and reminders are not a legal certificate and will not be accepted).

  • A negative Brucellosis test performed at a reference laboratory is required within 6 months for all breeding services and this can be performed at Broadview if needed.

  • A copy of the registry certificate (ex. AKC registration certificate) must be supplied to Broadview Reproductive Services when applicable.

  • Bitch must be a minimum of 12 months (1 year) old for ovulation timing and assisted breeding services.

  • Stud must be a minimum of 12 months (1 year) old for assisted breeding services.

C-sections will be provided to patients with ovulation timing (allowing precise estimation of the LH surge and ovulation) as well as confirmation of pregnancy by ultrasound or radiographs (x-ray). C-sections may be available through our general practices on an urgent care basis to patients not meeting the above criteria.
